Dear Surfing Enthusiast,

It has been almost two decades now that I began the J7 Surfboards brand. Like most surfboard companies, J7 started as a small backyard operation where I initially shaped boards for just close friends and myself. Over the years J7 has grown from that small seed to a respected board company with international recognition and distribution.

J7 Surfboards is based in Santa Barbara, Ca. We are fortunate to have some of the best and most versatile testing grounds for surfboard designs on the West Coast and it is our goal to build surfboards made of the finest materials and craftsmanship.

We are proud to have one of the most talented surf teams in our region and support many standout surfers from distant coastlines. It is through the feedback from these athletes and loyal customers alike that has enabled myself and the J7 brand to design and create boards that will always help take surfing to the next level.

Our vision

Velvet ropes and VIP lines have no place in surfing. The act of waveriding is both a lifelong and full family pursuit. Anything to the contrary misses the point. J7 has been a family since before we even thought to create a logo. It was a family of friends and their loved ones all bonded together by a passion for getting good waves, ripping the shit out of them, and laughing along the way. Our goal is to make everyone, even you, feel like a part of this family. Salt water neophytes to crusty old rippers and everyone in between, you all have a place at the J7 table.

But make no mistake, we aren’t some pop-out or foam top factory making surf fantasies come true for middle- America via some foreign factory or an anonymous stable of unaccountable ghost shapers. Quite the contrary, we are a company comprised solely of core surfers all unflinchingly committed to the pursuit of performance. Whether you are plucking your next from our racks or sitting down with head shaper/owner Jason Feist to suss out the specs on your dream board, our goal is always to equip you to take your surf game to the next level. What separates us from so many others in the game is that after years in the trenches we have come to understand that the road to high performance is paved by fun. This simple fact is the underpinning of everything we do.
